A fun day for all the family. Meet NZ authors Maria Gill, Tim Tipene, Donna Blaber and illustrator Zak Waipara. Get their autographs and hear all about their work. Listen to storytellers Lesley Dowding and Waikarere Gregory. Learn about the ANZACs, kiwi, whales, volcanoes, taonga puoro, how to be a Warrior Kid, how to draw cartoons.Watch performances of Hairy Maclary and The little yellow digger.Join in the illustration and craft sessions. Make a bookmark, creep into the colour tunnel, make a fairy book, fish for words. Other activities include find the kiwi, sit in a boat and pull rubbish out of the sea, go on the story walk, get a free book, meet Clifford, Spot, Peter Rabbit and the real Billy Goat Gruff. Add to the festivities by wearing a costume.
